The meat we sell is free of growth antibiotics, added hormones, and additives. Each rancher profile tells the story about the farm and how they raise their cattle because we aim to be 100% transparent with the meat we sell. We do allow our farmers to treat sick animals as needed, at the direction of a veterinarian for animal welfare reasons.
However, since our animals are not in close quarters of an industrial feedlot, they get sick much less often than animals from the conventional system, so the need for antibiotics is rare. Additionally, we visit all of our farms to make sure that the cows are treated humanely.
