At Crowd Cow, food safety is an utmost priority. We hope to provide you with enough information to help you determine if your food is suitable for consumption.
We take pride in our products arriving at your doorstep frozen. Our eco-friendly insulation and the use of dry ice help keep most orders frozen through transit. However, unexpected transit delays or temperature increases in your region may cause partial or complete thaw of your products.
Can I refreeze the partially frozen or thawed but cold items?
Yes! If the food is still partially or fully thawed at 40* or below, the item would be safe to place within the freezer for later use. The only exception would be seafood other than fish, such as scallops, shrimp, lobster, and some side dishes and desserts. We recommend checking each item separately. Please discard any items that have come into contact with raw meat juices that might have escaped from the packaging. When thawing, we recommend placing it in a shallow pan or inside a bowl in the event of the package leaking.
Partial thawing and refreezing may reduce the quality of some food, but the food will
remain safe to eat.
